Your Home Made Perfect
We’ve been getting lots of questions lately about the new BBC2 series ‘Your Home Made Perfect’ – a show using virtual reality (VR) technology to help people create their dream home.
Although the BBC have taken some creative licence in the way they show how the technology works, it has made virtual reality a real talking point amongst the general public and opened the minds and imaginations of viewers to VR and its possibilities.
Predominately we have provided VR services for commercial projects (Hendrick’s / Bob Harper Art) but are currently in the middle of a beautiful residential extension which we are producing in VR at various stages throughout. This has allowed the client to experience the project from a very early concept stage through to a full photorealistic environment. The process has proved invaluable to the client as the use of VR has assisted in showcasing how the changes will benefit and improve their home and the way in which they live in it.
We offer a range of VR solutions from fully immersive/interactive, walk through environments through to simple ‘clay’ environments where viewers can experience the spaces from various fixed viewpoints which can be interlinked with each other. We see VR as an extremely useful design tool and have assisted various architects and their clients by providing environments which give a real sense of depth and space and a better understanding of how the natural light works within the proposed new areas. This allows clients to experience, first hand, how the space will look and feel which in turn builds confidence and trust in the project (and relationship) from a very early stage.
In addition, VR can also help showcase options for the client for such things as kitchen and bathroom design as, with a bit of magic clients are able to see the different options they have for cabinets, worktops, splashbacks etc, helping to really sell the dream to the client.
We love creating environments that excite and help people to dream big. If you would like to find out more or simply say hello, drop us a email at firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call (01383 861455).
