<image:title>Work — - Une Femme</image:title>
<image:caption>Client: Thirst Craft Brief: We were asked by Glasgow-based drinks design agency Thirst Craft to produce a series of 3D computer generated images of their product and packaging designs created for wine producer Une Femme. Background: Une Femme are an American wine and champagne producer with a difference: they create luxury wines that are made by women, for women. Thirst Craft wanted their designs to represent Une Femme as a symbol of success and aimed to make a proud, powerful statement celebrating femininity. They succeeded in creating brand imagery that is both bold and understated; it feels strong and ambitious while at the same time elegant and timeless. Approach: We created a series of photorealistic 3D computer generated images of the bottles and packaging for Une Femme’s champagne, The Juliette, and their sparkling rose, The Callie. Thirst Craft’s striped back monochrome aesthetic is elevated by the materials and attention to detail used across the packaging. Our images were used to highlight the high quality finishes of the foil, labels and secondary packaging. We also showcase the iconic monogram designed by Thirst Craft, which uses the brand’s initials to create an abstract image of a glass. Services: Product Visualisation</image:caption>

<image:caption>Client: IWANT Brief: London-based creative agency IWANT asked us to produce a series of 3D computer generated product visuals of their branding and packing designs for Talea Beer Co. Background: Brooklyn-based Talea Beer Co. are a female-led craft beer start up who make easy to drink beers with fruit forward flavours. IWANT created the branding, visual language and packaging for Talea, using bold and colourful graphic shapes to make a strong visual impact and play on the fruity flavours of the beers. Approach: We produced a series of hero 3D computer generated images of the Talea Beer Co. range in a studio setting, which showcase the striking and vibrant designs created by IWANT in photorealistic quality. We also created a subsequent suite of 3D computer generated product visuals with the cans and secondary packaging placed in an industrial setting. We rendered this contrasting backdrop complete with concrete textural elements and 3D wooden structures derived from the geometric artwork on the product. <image:caption>Client: Pim-Pam Brief: We were asked by Glasgow-based design studio Pim-Pam to produce a series of 3D product visuals and animations for the global release of a new luxury gifting range by The Macallan. Background: Pim-Pam were commissioned by The Macallan to support the international launch of their seasonal gifting range, featuring three of their most established malts. The campaign focussed on the striking packaging design, which is based on a key feature of the brand- the distinctive chevron pattern. Approach: We created a series of 3D computer generated product images and 3D animations of each of the three malts in the Macallan gifting range. These photorealistic packaging renders showcase the simple yet beautiful secondary packaging, which is so important to a gifting product, and let the design speak for itself. Our work was a key part of the international role out of this luxury range and helped to ensure that the focus was placed on the exquisite details of the product itself. <image:title>Work — - CALA Homes</image:title>
<image:caption>Client: CALA Homes Limited Brief: We have worked with CALA for over a decade by providing CGI, animation, and VR services for both architectural and interior visualisation of their homes. We also create sales and marketing collateral for their website and social media platforms. Background: As one of the UK’s largest house building companies, CALA are well known for their exclusive developments of new build homes in sought-after locations. They focus on both superior quality and stunning design, achieving a premium build and finish in their properties. With several developments being planned, constructed and marketed across the country at any one time, computer generated visualisation is an extremely useful tool to provide brand consistency and showcase the exceptional design of CALA’s property range. Approach: We work with the CALA Group by visualising each of the standard housetypes in both their Light & Space and Contemporary ranges. This provides a benchmark and visual resource for their marketing departments across the various regions of the country. By collaborating closely with CALA’s regional architectural and marketing teams, we can alter any of these 70 different architectural renders to match site specific requirements. Our work ensures a strong brand consistency across the CALA range and is used in their sales and marketing material. Throughout our time working with CALA, we have extended our service offering and now also create marketing sales videos for use on the CALA website and social media platforms. We plan, organise and oversee the filming of these videos to ensure that they portray the aspirational lifestyle of those living in a CALA home whilst showcasing the stunning design of these properties. Our visual aids help to bring CALA homes to life and assist customers in realising their dream of being a CALA home owner. <image:title>Work — - Wilde Irish Gin</image:title>
<image:caption>Client: 1751 Brief: We were appointed by the design collective 1751 to produce an animation for the product launch of Wilde Irish Gin. Background: A new premium gin inspired by the works of Oscar Wilde, Wilde Irish Gin is distilled in Ireland using a specially selected blend of local ingredients. It is made by hand in small batches to ensure that a high level of quality and consistency is present in every sip. The branding design by 1751 and packaging design by Stranger & Stranger creates a bold, interesting and individual aesthetic befitting of a spirit named after one of the most witty and flamboyant writers in the history of English language literature. Approach: We created a photorealistic computer generated animation of the Wilde Irish Gin bottle showcasing its bold and unusual purple colour, as well as the unique bottle top and Oscar Wilde quote “I can resist everything except temptation” in relief on the glass surface. We had the idea of purple crystals exploding around the bottle as it is revealed and created this effect in our 3D product visualisation. Services: Product Animation / Art Direction</image:caption>

<image:title>Work — - COCO Chocolatier</image:title>
<image:caption>Client: Freytag Anderson Brief: We were commissioned by creative agency Freytag Anderson to produce a series of 3D computer generated product visuals for their rebrand of Edinburgh-based chocolate producer COCO Chocolatier. Background: In order to create a unique brand space for COCO within the chocolate industry, Freytag Anderson focussed on the relationship between art and chocolate. To represent the creativity present at the core of the brand, they coined the strap line ‘The Art of Chocolate’. In line with the concept of an art gallery, each COCO product is wrapped in a specially commissioned original artwork, with the artists credited on minimal yet striking labels. The result is a clear and eye-catching visual identity that is maintained across the range of products made by COCO. Approach: We created a series of photorealistic packaging renders of the extensive range of chocolate and drinking chocolate produced by COCO. These 3D computer generated visuals showcase the artwork featured on each product and ensure brand consistency across COCO’s range, which changes seasonally and features additional special one-off collaborations with various artisan providers. In addition to our CGI pack shots, we also created a gallery scene where the chocolate bars and drinking chocolate made by COCO could be exhibited as a virtual art installation, further enforcing ‘The Art of Chocolate’ strap line created by Freytag Anderson. Our computer generated pack shots were exported to the client in layered Photoshop files in order to allow total freedom for future use and now feature on the COCO website and online shop. The new brand position of COCO Chocolatier has created opportunities for the company to collaborate with art institutions such as the V&A, National Galleries Scotland and Tate. <image:caption>Client: Freytag Anderson Brief: We were appointed by Freytag Anderson design agency to create 3D computer generated images of the labels, cans and packaging designed by them as part of a rebrand for Glasgow-based soft drink manufacturer Rapscallion Soda. Background: Rapscallion Soda specialise in using fresh natural ingredients and unusual taste combinations to create their low-sugar soft drinks. The product imagery aims to present a new kind of soft drink that is better for you, while hinting at a more clinical and scientific approach to production. The drinks are named to work alongside a distinct and rebellious brand voice. Approach: Using photorealistic 3D rendering, we created a series of packaging visualisation shots. Our computer generated product images showcase the simple layout, bold use of colour and minimal type treatment used in the rebrand. A short stop label deliberately highlights the base metal of the cans; we were able to produce realistically rendered images of this metal. Our rendered images are now a key part of Rapscallion’s marketing campaign and feature on their website and online shop. Services: Product Visualisation</image:caption>

Background: London-based Square Root Soda make quality small batch soda drinks using fresh, all natural and seasonal ingredients. They pride themselves on producing “Soda made right”, pouring passion, personality and principles into each of their drinks. Having recently increased their production capacity, Square Root decided it was time for a rebrand. Thirst created a new brand identity inspired by the stickers found on fresh fruit; it is bursting with imagery that is bright, juicy and full of personality, encapsulating perfectly what is found inside each bottle. Approach: We created photorealistic computer generated images of the full range of soda and tonic flavours made by Square Root, and the boxes in which they are sold. We were able to make both static and animated product renders of various groupings of the bottles, as well as a gallery view of the entire product range to highlight the brand consistency achieved. <image:title>Work — - Cù Bòcan</image:title>
<image:caption>Client: Thirst Brief: We were approached by Thirst drinks design agency to make a computer generated animation of their proposed new bottle shape created as part of a rebrand for Cù Bòcan. Subsequently, we were asked to produce a range of marketing visuals for the final product. Background: Cù Bòcan is a subtly smoky and slightly sweet Highland single malt that is matured in a variety of interesting casks to add to its unusual flavour. They comissioned Thirst to create a new more modern brand, who came up with a bespoke and very unusual bottle shape, as well as completely redesigned labels and secondary packaging. The new brand has a modern and premium feel, while the refractions from the distinct bottle add an element of intrigue. Approach: Initially, Thirst asked us to produce an animation to aid their client’s understanding of the proposed unique bottle shape, which was incredibly difficult to illustrate with traditional 2D mock-ups. Following detailed discussions regarding the proposed form we produced a basic digital version of the bottle that was animated to rotate 360 degrees, illustrating the complexity of the design and assisting with visualisation of its unique form. We revisited the project some 12 months later to produce marketing visuals for the final product, which included a series of assets of caustic flares produced by the multifaceted bottle. Our photorealistic 3D renders assisted Thirst in the production of various items of marketing collateral and now feature on the Cù Bòcan website and online shop. <image:title>Work — - Inveralmond Brewery</image:title>
<image:caption>Client: Freytag Anderson Brief: We worked with award winning designers Freytag Anderson to visualise their rebrand for Inveralmond Brewery. Background: Inveralmond are one of the most successful and well-known breweries in Scotland. They wanted to revitalise their brand in order to better represent the quality and origin of their products within the fast moving craft beer market, as well as unify the imagery of their core range and annually released beers. Freytag Anderson updated the brand’s logo and commissioned the Scottish artist Peter McDermott to create bespoke illustrations for the labels of each of the core range. These visuals evoke the sense of place that Scotland represents globally: a land of beautiful landscapes and rich history. Approach: We were asked to create 3D visualisation solutions for this project and produced photorealistic CGIs of the full range of Inveralmond products including their metal cans, glass bottles and secondary cardboard packaging. We also created a computer generated animation of Inveralmond’s core products for the launch of two new beers to be included in this range. Our packaging renders showcase the successful and consistent brand imagery created by Freytag Anderson, and our visuals now feature as part of Inveralmond’s website and online marketing materials. Services: Product Visualisation / Product Animation / Animation Art Direction Client Testimonial: “We worked closely with Render Studio to visualise the core range of Inveralmond products for launch. <image:caption>Client: D8 Brief: We collaborated with Glasgow-based creative agency D8 to showcase some of their recent work for Heverlee Belgian lager. Background: After working to establish the Heverlee brand in the UK, D8 were commissioned to update the beer’s packaging and create new limited edition 330 ml cans and secondary packaging. They used illustrations by the world renowned Belgian street artist Dzia featuring two of his signature animals, the sly fox and the Belgian Hare. Approach: We created a series of photorealistic computer generated images of the limited edition Dzia cans and secondary cardboard packaging designed by D8. We produced packshot renders of both of the cans that could be rotated by 360 degrees; these were then used in an animation to showcase the product design from all angles. <image:title>Work — - Storywood Tequila</image:title>
<image:caption>Client: Thirst Brief: We were commissioned by Thirst drinks design agency to produce a series of product visuals showcasing their designs for Storywood Tequila. Background: Storywood Tequila is a new and unique tequila, made in Mexico but aged in ex-Scotch whisky barrels to unlock new flavours. It is the product of two cultures and two national drinks combined: to reflect this Thirst took inspiration from Mexico’s brightly painted buildings and the bold numbering and lettering of Scottish whisky bottles to create a striking colour palette and an eye-catching label with the slogan “Live free, sip slow”. Approach: We produced a series of photorealistic computer generated images of the full range of Storywood tequilas to showcase Thirst’s packaging designs. We placed the bottles in a virtual 3D environment created to look and feel like Mexico by using harsh sunlight and distressed plaster walls paired with aged timber. In addition to being used for the product launch, our images are now a part of Storywood’s print and digital strategy and also feature as pack shots on online retail sites such as Amazon. D8 designed a completely unique illuminated bar fount system, consisting of easily interchangeable lenses and the iconic red T for Tennent’s. Approach: We produced a series of photorealistic computer generated images of the bar founts created by D8 featuring each of the different designs topped by the red T. We created a virtual 3D environment to place the bar fount renders in to showcase how the backlit designs stand out within the setting for which they are designed. <image:caption>Client: D8 Brief: We were appointed by D8 design agency to deliver computer generated product visuals of their work for Old Pulteney whisky. Background: Old Pulteney is an award-winning Scotch whisky, distilled and matured on Scotland's north east coast in Wick. D8 were commissioned to update their brand identity and design new premiumised packaging for their core and Global Travel Retail ranges. D8 aimed to reflect the whisky’s quality and heritage while growing their brand in both domestic and international markets. They created a new icon featuring a fishing boat and used colours, lettering and design cues to develop a nautical brand with the strap line “The Maritime Malt.” Approach: We produced a suite of photorealistic computer generated images to showcase the new packaging designs by D8. <image:caption>Client: Hunger Brief: We were appointed by food design agency Hunger to produce a range of product visuals for Txoko, a premium range of Spanish cured meats and cheeses. Background: Txoko is named after the Basque tradition of a culinary community that meets to prepare and eat food together. This idea of food being served and enjoyed socially lead Hunger to use a packaging design inspired by a murmuration of starlings, suggesting the coming and going of friends and the ebb and flow of conversation. They used a cut-out wordmark to allow a view of the different meats and cheeses within the packaging, and a premium earthy colour palette to reflect the quality and origins of the product. Approach: We created a series of computer generated images of the strikingly beautiful Txoko packaging designs. Our photorealistic visuals showcase each of the products in the range, and highlight the consistency across the brand. We were able to illustrate the different products through the wordmark windows in the packaging by creating realistic renders of the various meats and cheeses made by Txoko. <image:title>Work — - Badgers Keep</image:title>
<image:caption>Client: Brown & Brown Architects Brief: We were approached by award winning architects Brown & Brown to visualise a beautiful residential property situated within a walled garden in South Aryshire, Scotland. Background: When Brown & Brown designed Badgers Keep they aimed to make the most of its unique setting within a Victorian walled garden. The house is elevated on stilts so as not to impinge on its surroundings, and to avoid the need for expansive foundations that would disrupt the ground. It was designed to be a contemporary and low-energy home. Approach: We completed a series of photorealistic computer generated images to visualise both the exterior and interior of Badgers Keep. Our architectural renders were created using plans of the building and showcase its many stunning design details such as the “floating” aspect of the house, its wrap around deck with glass balustrade allowing uninterrupted views of the garden and surrounding countryside, its untreated Siberian larch cladding, and its large expanses of glazing. Our interior renders illustrate how the house might be styled, with contemporary fixtures and fittings, warm wooden flooring, and modern Scandinavian-inspired furniture and lighting. We also produced an interactive virtual reality tour of the interior of the house. Our work was used to help Brown & Brown present their designs to their clients and gain approval for the project to go ahead. <image:title>Work — - Overtone</image:title>
<image:caption>Client: Thirst Brief: We were asked by Thirst drinks design agency to produce a series of photorealistic 3D visuals of their work for Glasgow’s newest craft brewery, Overtone. Background: Aiming to create a brand that would capture the dynamic and innovative nature of Overtone while building a strong presence in the very competitive craft beer market, Thirst came up with a name and brand identity based on the techno music scene. They used a series of striking O-shaped graphics for the cans, with lines and colours designed to create eye-catching visual illusions. This design series can be easily added to as Overtone come up with new and evolving flavours for their range of beers. Approach: We created a set of 3D computer generated images to showcase each of Thirst’s designs for the full range of Overtone beers. We produced both static and animated product visuals which highlight the impact of the cans, and were able to render a photorealistic glass of beer to add to the product’s appeal. We also made some images of the cans grouped together, where they appear almost as a work of art and the brand consistency across the range is highlighted. <image:title>Work — - Bowmore</image:title>
<image:caption>Client: D8 Brief: We were appointed by D8 to provide photorealistic product visualisations for their rebrand of the Bowmore core range. Background: D8’s rebrand of Bowmore focussed on the product’s main strengths: it is a single malt of consistently outstanding quality that is produced in the world’s oldest Scotch whisky maturation house, the legendary No.1 Vaults. They developed their brand repositioning around the central concept of the value of time, encompassing both the time needed for the flavour maturation of the whisky and the time spent by the consumer savouring this famous single malt. Approach: As part of the brief, we recreated the No.1 Vault maturation house as a backdrop for an animation produced for the launch of the new core range, Vault Editions, plus the fifth and final release of the renowned Black Bowmore. We also had the pleasure of producing pack shot CGIs for a number of Bowmore’s luxury rare whiskies including the 1965 and 1966 expressions; these are now used on the Bowmore website for online sales. <image:title>Work — - WEST Brewery</image:title>
<image:caption>Client: Thirst Brief: Creative agency Thirst commissioned us to visualise WEST Brewery’s new range of cans, bottles and secondary packaging. Background: Thirst were tasked with uniting existing brands already established by WEST and extending the brand to include new products. They did this by using WEST’s distinct palette of red, black, white and a touch of gold, producing a cohesive brand through the use of colour. With no rigid design system, each beer has its own style and personality, while being united by the WEST brand colours. Approach: We created a series of photorealistic computer generated images of the range of cans, bottles and secondary packaging produced by WEST. Our product visuals showing different WEST products grouped together highlight the fact that the packaging design is successful in allowing each beer to have its own distinct style, while unifying the range through its colour palette. <image:caption>Client: Hunger Brief: Newly formed creative agency Hunger asked us to create a series of product visuals for an indulgent range of CBD infused ice creams. Background: Glasgow-based food design agency Hunger came up with a name and brand identity for Melt that reflects both its stress relieving properties and the melting pot of flavours inside. Approach: We produced a set of photorealistic computer generated images of the different Melt flavours; these product visuals showcase Hunger’s packaging design based on the colours and stripes of the confectionary industry. Our product visualisation also highlights the brand consistency created across the various products included in the range. Services: Product Visualisation</image:caption>

<image:title>Work — - Downpour Gin</image:title>
<image:caption>Client: Jamhot Brief: We were appointed by creative agency Jamhot to produce a series of product visuals for the recently released Downpour gin, by North Uist Distillery Co. Background: Downpour, a small batch gin made in the beautiful Outer Hebrides, is named to reflect both the islands’ extreme weather and the spirit’s distinct flavour. This artisan gin is infused with citrus, spice and wild Hebridean heather and, as the strap line “drenched in island flavour” suggests, it is packed with big bold flavours. Jamhot’s brand and packaging designs encompass both the premium nature of the product and the forward thinking nature of the company. Approach: We produced a series of photorealistic 3D computer generated images to showcase the stunning design of the Downpour bottle and secondary packaging. We also rendered an image of a perfect serve of the gin. In addition, we created an animation sequence for the official launch of the product. For both the animation and the packshot and serve images, we modelled a number of botanicals to better represent the flavours infused into Downpour. Our product images are now used on the North Uist Distillery Co. website and online shop. Services: Product Visualisation / Animation</image:caption>

<image:title>Work — - Campbell Cadey</image:title>
<image:caption>Client: Campbell Cadey Architects Brief: We were commissioned to produce visuals for a new farmhouse situated within an edge-of-fen settlement in North Cambridgeshire. Background: Campbell Cadey designed this new build farmhouse to make the most of its panoramic fenland views. Its concept is based on two different types of building linked by glass, a brick townhouse to the front and a lower level barn style building behind. Internally, the home boasts a large kitchen, dining and living space, a further living room and four bedrooms. Approach: We produced photorealistic computer generated images of the exterior of the building from the architect’s plans. These architectural renders illustrate how the building looks within the site and highlight how the two different building types compliment each other. We also created a series of photorealistic visuals of the interior of the home, showcasing its light and space, as well as how the home might be furnished. <image:title>Work — - Wavegarden Scotland</image:title>
<image:caption>Client: Tartan Leisure Ltd Landscape Architect: HarrisonStevens Brief: We were commissioned to produce photorealistic visuals and Virtual Reality (VR) imagery from the plans for an exciting new leisure destination, Wavegarden Scotland. Background: Wavegarden Scotland will be the countries first inland surf destination. Using an innovative product called ‘The Cove’ delivered by Wavegarden, higher frequency, better quality and more consistent waves will provide a premium surfing experience ideal for both learners and experienced surfers alike. This world class facility will also include complimentary activities, a cafe/restaurant and different accommodation options, all set within a country park in Ratho, to the west of Edinburgh. Approach: We created photorealistic computer generated images and VR visuals of the Wavegarden Scotland site from the landscape architects’ plans. These exterior visualisation shots illustrate the look and feel of the proposed facility and demonstrate how it will sit within the existing landscape. <image:caption>Client: Graphical House Brief: We were commissioned by Glasgow-based brand and design agency Graphical House to produce product and packaging visuals for feminine hygiene company Saalt. Background: Saalt are an American based company who sell reusable menstrual cups. Inspired by nature, they have a strong focus on healthy and sustainable living. Graphical House created a brand and packaging design influenced by tidal rhythms, using natural colours and a distinctive pattern. Approach: We created photorealistic computer generated images and animations illustrating the Saalt menstrual cup itself as well as the beautiful and elegant packaging designed by Graphical House. Our rotating animation of the product gives a clear view of it in 360 degrees while our packaging renders and animation showcase the stand-out presentation and unboxing experience. <image:title>Work — - The Soak</image:title>
<image:caption>Client: MAS Brief: We were appointed by interior designers MAS to create a series of 3D interior architectural renders and a virtual reality tour of their designs for new London bar and restaurant The Soak. Background: The Soak is an upmarket cocktail bar and restaurant located at the Grosvenor hotel in London. Situated within a stunning Grade II listed building, the space boasts beautiful Victorian period features including arched windows and high ceilings. The interiors created for The Soak by MAS are sophisticated, exciting and modern; they also pay homage to the light and history of the building. Approach: We produced a series of 3D computer generated images of the interiors designed by MAS, including detailed images of the materials used. These photorealistic interior renders highlight the design features of the various spaces within The Soak and demonstrate how they might be used, be that the welcoming oval bar for large gatherings, the comfortable plush circular tables for leisurely and relaxed dining, or the more intimate booths. We also created a virtual reality tour linking the different spaces, to allow the viewer to experience what it would look and feel like to move around in the bar. Our visuals demonstrate how the interior designs created by MAS look in situ, and showcase the dramatic lighting and impressive spaces of the project. Our work helped MAS to achieve sign-off on their interiors from the client, and their vision is now a reality in The Soak, central London.
