Render produced a series of Photomontage images for a fantastic developement by Michael Gray Architects to accompany a planning application for 4no. Holiday Chalets on a Perthshire Hillside.

The Planning Department at Perth & Kinross Council requested views from a number of specific locations to assist their understanding of the scheme and to assess the impact the proposal would have on this sensitive site. As a result, the visuals were produced under strict Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) criteria to ensure complete visual accuracy.

The determination of the application is due in the coming weeks. Hopefully more on this one soon...

A number of interactive 360 degree panoramic images were created and subsequently linked together via a series of animated transitions to create a virtual tour of the proposed extension. This virtual tour allowed the client to fully interact with the proposed environment prior to approval and sign off.

Tinto Architecture are due to begin the construction phase of this project in Spring 2011.

With a limited budget we have made the construction as simple and as cost effective as possible. At present there is insufficient head room within the shelter, therefore we have removed the existing concrete flat roof and erected a simple steel frame to create additional head room.

The new roofing and additional walling (created by raising the wall head) have been clad with corrugated iron to create a visual divide between old and new.

Windows have been positioned on both gables to allow morning and late afternoon sun into the space.

The project is due on site later in the year. More on this project soon....

24.01.12 Abbotsford, LDN Architects
We've recently been busy working in collaboration with LDN Architects and Damhead Design Studio to visualise a new vehicle access for the soon to be completed visitor reception facilities at Abbotsford House in Melrose, Scottish Borders.

Abbotsford is the creation of Sir Walter Scott and is one of Scotland’s greatest cultural sites. We are delighted to be involved in such a prestigious project and are enjoying working closely with the design team to illustrate their proposals.

25.08.10 Apache North Sea
We've recently been busy producing a virtual tour of Apache North Sea's proposed extension to their offices in Aberdeen through our friends at Tinto Architecture. We created a series of four 360 degree panoramic images which were then linked together to create a virtual space, allowing the client the freedom to explore as they wish. 08.07.10 KAPSARC
We have recently been involved in producing a series of interior signage visualisations for our friends at Bright 3D for Zaha Hadid’s extraordinary KAPSARC project in the Middle East. The King Abdullah Petrolium Studies and Research Centre (KAPSARC) is a new global centre for energy and environmental research and is currently under construction in Saudi Arabia.

Unfortunately due to confidentially agreements we cannot display our images on the website, however, here is a link to a short promotional video on the official KAPSARC website for what is truly an incredible building.

We've just taken delivery of our new business cards as part of our recent re branding by Greig at Effektive. We are delighted with how they have turned out.

20.01.10 WWII Air Raid Shelter
Sneak Peak of an interesting project we're currently working on to convert a WWII Air Raid Shelter into a Garden room / Studio Space. With a limited budget we have tried to make the construction as simple and as cost effective as possible. At present there is insufficient head room within the shelter, therefore we are proposing to remove the existing concrete flat roof and erect a simple steel frame to create additional head room. The new roof and additional walling (created by raising the wall head) will be clad with corrugated iron to create a visual divide between old and new. Windows have been positioned on both gables to allow morning and late afternoon sun into the space. More on this project soon...

19.01.10 Lego Scalextrics
I’ve recently been playing around with an HDRi lighting scene courtesy of HDRi Locations. Rather than adding a simple car into the scene, I thought it would be fun to insert two of my favourite toys as a child, Lego and Scalextrics, to create one dream toy!

Although situated on the beautiful surrounding coastline, this property did not enjoy seaviews which the clients were keen to rectify.

The new garden/dayroom extension incorporates a kitchen, dining and living area and is now the main hub of the household. The room also allows uninterrupted views across the bay and beyond to Gullane.
