As part of our proposals, we redefined the circulation within the house by introducing a new section of corridor to access the new extension. This eliminated the need for the kitchen to be accessed via the living room. The revised internal layout also creates a new master suite including an ensuite and dressing room, an additional double bedroom, a utility room and a cosy dining recess. The form of the contemporary extension is a modern take on the traditional property with a glazed linking section clearly separating old from new. The extension features a cantilevered glazed corner with folding sliding screens which can be opened up to a new external patio area and allows fabulous views to the South-West. The large opening, along with a series of rooflights, will also flood light into the heart of the property. The Planning Department at Perth & Kinross Council requested views from a number of specific locations to assist their understanding of the scheme and to assess the impact the proposal would have on this sensitive site. As a result, the visuals were produced under strict Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) criteria to ensure complete visual accuracy.
